AMD has released the new Catalyst 8.12 display driver for Windows XP 32-bit, Windows XP 64-bit, Windows Media Center Edition, Windows Vista 32-bit and Windows Vista 64-bit. The new Catalyst 8.12 drivers, aside from performance improvements, enable ATI Stream technology.

Whoa! First comment!!

Anyway, I had just visited the AMD Game website and found no mention of these drivers, then got the Windows Live Alert that the 8.12's were released. Downloading now.

What is this Windows Live Alert that you speak of? Do you mean Windows Update, or am I missing something here?

bradsday,

If you have Windows Live Messenger, you can subscribe to different alerts, Neowin being one of them.

Hope that helps,

Bob

Getting a 403 Access Denied when trying to download drivers :s

edit: Ok that was quite lame, had to use Save Link As on the akamai link in Firefox to be able to grab it in this exception, what a poor website...
