Want an iPhone 3G, but would really like a few more bucks taken off of the price tag before you commit? Well, your chance has arrived, as long as you're willing to take a slight gamble, that is.

The US based retailer, Best Buy, has announced that they will begin to carry refurbished iPhone 3Gs in 350 of their Best Buy Mobile locations. The 8GB variant of Apple's hugely popular device will sell for $149 and the 16GB model will retail for $249. Of course, those prices still require you to sign a two year commitment to AT&T Mobility. You'll also have to realize the risks of buying a refurbished device. Best Buy insists that all devices were returned within their original 30 day trial period, so there shouldn't be too much to worry about, but the buyer should always be aware.

Best Buy Mobile is a joint venture between Best Buy Co. Inc. and the UK based The Carphone Warehouse Group PLC. Locations feature a variety of subsidized and unlocked devices from a wide range of mobile device manufacturers.

It's supposed to be 3Gs, not 3G's. Bad grammar !!!

My mistake. I thought I was wrong, but wasn't sure.

maybe if consumers saved more than just $50 this would be a lot more popular.

But for just $50 more you could get a BRAND NEW unit... so why risk it?
