Google Street view is a candid look at the environment that surrounds us. The idea of street view is to give the user an idea of what it would look like if they were standing on the street. It's a simple idea that usually results in a great way to get a look at a destination before you arrive.

Sometimes, however, the Google cameras capture things that are not so ordinary. Below are six gems that have been unearthed on Google Maps. They are posted in no particular order but all are rare sightings much like the Google van hitting Bambi.

I am hoping for Microsoft to catch up because I was behind their Live Local vehicle in China Town, NYC, when my car overheated.. it'll be funny to see myself on there.

i had one i could have added but they have since updated the images and i dont have the screenshot anymore... basically... in a field near my house someone had drawn a giant penis and a giant smily face :p

hahaha lol those are good my neighbor got caught on the cam while mowing her lawns as she'd heard the Google mobile was commin and didn't want her front yard lookin a disgrace
