Business 24-7 has dropped a hint that Apple may be preparing to unveil their next-gen iPhone to the public in June. In addition to the news, they have also mentioned the iPhone will become available in the United Arab Emirates in February, on the 15th. The website stated "the next version of the device, which is due out in June, will be launched in the UAE at the same time."This news is not unexpected; both versions of Apple's iPhone have been launched around June and July, and with the growing popularity of the App Store it is expected that Apple needs to upgrade the iPhone's hardware.
There are rumors that the next iPhone will go multi-core and allow video conferencing, but aside from that, nothing is known.
As for the UAE, the only chance that region of the world has had to get an iPhone is via paying a 20% premium. Now that they are officially scheduled, it should show a rise in popularity, and Mark Davis (Programme Director for iPhone at etisalat) stated "On an average a phone is replaced here every nine months, therefore there is tremendous potential for the iPhone. The iPhone will pick up aggressively in this part of the world."

those are usually a fall release, september ish
They could very well announce it in June for a mid July release, though.
Apple should make something so much better than the iPhone, spend a year or so on it. . . :/

Or, consumers shouldn't worry about always having the latest and greatest. It isn't like when this new iPhone comes out all other iPhones will be utterly useless. I say it is your perception that needs to change, not Apple's practice.

Umm, you can't get much better than the iPhone! Camera-wise, you can do better, but everything else, it's hard to top.
I totally agree. I don't care if it adds half an inch to the iPhone... I want a battery that can last a week with 3G and wifi. Time for Apple to bust out their ingenuity and make an über battery!
