While the main difference between Total Access and Netflilx was the ability for Blockbuster subscribers to return their movies to a physical store if they chose, today the gap between the two services increased.

Blockbuster's Total Access program is the video store's answer to Netflix's by-mail DVD trade. Today, Blockbuster announced it will be renting video games in the Total Access program, putting them in competition with not only Netflix, but Gamefly as well.

this would have been PERFECT if blockbuster hadn't moved their dam store from walking distance in my area. Now I don't even know where it is. Sadly I doubt many video gamers see much difference in this, to my knowledge you already could pretty much rent a game for a month at blockbuster anyway, and it's not like people bothered to return them on time. Now you're going to find an already low stock of games even lower.

Wow that is cheap. I only use netflix 4 at a time and it saves allot of money.

I've been a Total Access member since inception. It has always worked great for us. The two free coupons a month included video games and now that I can exchange mailed movies for free movies in store, I have not paid for a rental in quite a while. This just adds to my value. I just hope they stay in business.

I love the BlockBuster Total Access program. While I don't always have time to get to their store, I do get the mail everyday though!

Having game rentals be a part of this program now is great news and will keep me as a customer for a long time.
