China has blocked the video-sharing network YouTube after Beijing denounced footage appearing to show security forces beating Tibetans in Lhasa last year as "a lie". The authorities have blocked the service on previous occasions and, more frequently, have prevented access to specific videos.
Google, which owns YouTube, confirmed that Beijing halted access to the site this week but said it did not know why. "We are looking into it and working to ensure that the service is restored as soon as possible," spokesman Scott Rubin said in an email to the Associated Press.

You mean America won't tolerate, US has threatened war with China over Taiwan before. Considering the vast arsenals on both sides I doubt either have the balls to do anything (without risking WW3), sure China have tried to push the US but nothing has come of it. Mind you this was from quite a few years ago and with the new administration in the US, their stance on Taiwan might of changed now.
thats actually a REALLY good idea, if alot of major sites and companies did this it could influence china to stop being so petty
Better yet, block every AS number belonging to China on major ISP routers and refuse to route any data coming from them...so that they are totally isolated. Then we wouldn't have to worry about their Internet activity for the most part.
As an added side effect we ensure all commerce with China is stopped meaning all products will be Made in America once again, ensuring jobs for all Americans.
