Wzor is once again reporting that the Windows 7 winmain_win7rc branch has reached 7079.Yesterday build 7077 leaked via BitTorrent and we speculated this could be the build that would be "renamed" to 7100 for the RC. It appears that isn't the case and Microsoft has built 7078.0.090406-1758 and 7079.0.090407-1902 over the last few days.
We still expect Microsoft to name the RC build shortly and all bets are on 7100. Last month Microsoft hinted at a May public release for the RC.

I doubt there'll be much difference to 7078 and 7079.
for business's isn't it that obvious ? and if you have used any of the leaked builds you will understand how much they have got right
Because they allow downgrades with every release of Windows. And yes, two versions down is normal.
have you used any of the windows 7 builds at all ??? it sounds to me like you haven't....
i know widows 7 is good, this of the computer illiterate. they will yell we want XP still
your statement regarding business is simply false: http://www.microsoft.com/virtualization/as...chv/local/1.asx
the only reason I came up with is to further increase the "good" feeling about this new microsoft OS, which will be their very first step toward a new company direction: get better reputation with your customer or you'll loose the market share eventually
It doesn't sound like you know anything about Win7.
It sounds like you're trying to make a switch over, now that you see yourself to be contested, and rightly so. What other excuse will you use for your comment, it was a social experiment?
It isn't false at all, it's true. Where I work we have 40,000+ machines we support. Vista offered us nothing except the opporunity to foot a huge bill to upgrade memory and hardware immediately. Waiting for Win7 will allow our old hardare to be phased out through the normal life cycle.
Windows 7 is different and will tie in with the lifecycle of servers as they move to 2008 and newer tech. We're a few years out from releasing Win7 and when we do it'll be a 64bit release, most of the core business apps will be ready for Win7 and 64bit.
MS knows that business can not migrate to a new OS quickly. Allowing WinXP to continue is a smart business decision as their customers gear up for a Win7 rollout.
Vista is fine for home use and small business, but it had no place in our corporate environment. I've used it at home since it was released and I love it personally!

People should learn PATIENCE and wait for the RC to come, don't get me wrong though I am as anxious to learn what the latest build is like .... but how many times do you download it ??? How many leaked builds (including build 7000) have been leaked and then just as quickly then next one is just around the corner.
Well the RC is just around the corner and as I have said before ... I am waiting for the RC then I will download it.
lol to you
The windows team is probably having a good laugh.
edit: dammit its only 32-bit. AND I just shift-deleted my 7068 x64 iso. Facepalm.
I'm still using Beta 1.
People get WAYYYY to overhyped about such small builds

7068 vs 7000 has some pretty noticeable differences.
Always good to keep up on the GUI changes, gives you an edge on other geeks.
btw 7077 is really slower compared with the others build. Boot slower and uses much more memory than ANY other builds. They are getting worse?. Or is just another 'feature'?.
over all a better time for meeeee .. also other bugs are fixed too
and im a pc user for over 18 years!
