Starting tomorrow, eight staffers from Neowin will be participating in the third annual Neowindex US, this year dubbed "TX09." Two weeks ago, staffers from the EU met up in Amsterdam for their fourth annual event, and this weekend its our turn.

Staffers will begin meeting up in Austin, Texas, tomorrow and from there will venture out to activities in Austin, Houston and San Antonio between then and Sunday. While enjoying some great Texas BBQ, during this time we've got meeting and interviews lined up with a variety of companies and representation in the southeast Texas area, including:
  • HP
  • AMD
  • Server Beach
  • Motion Computing
  • Zenbe
  • Das Keyboard
  • and others...
If you have questions for any of those companies you'd like us to ask, about anything, please leave them in the comments below and we'll be sure to get you a reply.

Among those who will be attending the trip, is a cross section of Neowin staffers from various departments, including:
  • Shane Pitman, Editor in Chief
  • Michael Stanclift, Managing Editor
  • Don Smith, Supervisor
  • Frank Owen, Supervisor
  • Larry Cooney Jr, Senior Gaming Analyst
  • Eric Iles, Developer
  • Brian Blasius, Global Moderator
  • Doug Bemis, IRC Moderator
Neowindex is always a great way for staffers to get away from the stress of the day, and to share and exchange ideas about the future of the site. In the past staffers from North America have visited Seattle and Chicago. Last year, we had the pleasure of playing a pre-release version of Team Fortress 2 with the Valve development team and playing Xbox 360 with Sig Hansen in the galley of his ship The Northwestern. What will this year bring, stay tuned to Neowin and our Neowindex Twitter feed for more.

Should be a good time to be had by all. We're trying to see if we can fit some time into our schedule to meet up with members in one of the cities. Don't know if it'll work yet.

Ask AMD if they have a monster or something in production that they're about to whip out to combat Intel.

Well, I can only hope >.>

We're planning on spending some time there.
#12.2 Marshalus on 22 Apr 2009 - 04:46
We tried to get Dell, but HP was far more open about getting us down there and they have an entire day of events lined up for us to see their facilities and talk to their team. Dell wasn't really all that interested in having us
