Alkali Media have found that a few software tweaks and a name change are all that are needed to get their software, initially rejected as "objectionable" to accepted as perfectly "acceptable". The software produces sounds that some might find objectionable.But, when the company re-submitted their App, it became clear to them what a difference a name can make, along with a few design tweaks (including "a pink bunny and a fleeting sunset")!
When the company first submitted Crudebox to Apple, it received a definitive rejection: "We've reviewed CrudeBox and determined that we cannot post this version of your iPhone application to the App Store because it contains objectionable content and is in violation of Section 3.3.12 from the iPhone SDK Agreement which states: 'Applications must not contain any obscene, pornographic, offensive or defamatory content or materials of any kind (text, graphics, images, photographs, etc.), or other content or materials that in Apple's reasonable judgement may be found objectionable by iPhone or iPod touch users.'"

Apparently, it's not "objectionable" to be "prude", but "crude" just will not do. (Oh, the "female orgasm" sound was replaced with that of a "cartoon-like spring sound", so maybe that was the real crux of the matter!)
However, is it not that its supposed to be there in the first place to censor apps to their likings.
