New ASUS Eee PC1000HV with ATI Redeon HD3450

The Eee PC 1000HV is the latest netbook from ASUS that specially designed for enhancing the multimedia performance. The new EE PC 1000HV has similar features of its predecessor ASUS 1000HE except the graphic card which has been replaced with an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3450 with 256MB of dedicated memory.

Along with the Atom N280 processor and 160GB of hard drive, the Eee PC 100HV is also featured with a 10-inch screen with 1024 x 600 pixels, has built-in network adapter and 1GB RAM. Additionally, it is Bluetooth enabled and comes with battery that provides up to 5 hours of life.

Starting to defeat the purpose of a netbook. Also neo7 you spelled Radeon wrong in the article title.

quite the truth. Not much you can do with good graphics if you have a subpar processor...

if they increased build quality, then perhaps i might consider getting one.

i would gladly pay $20 more if they just spent a little more attention to detail and build quality

I was trying to find out about availability of the 1000 HE model for Australia from ASUS now all of a sudden they go and release this one, I still don't know if the HE model is available yet in Australia.

I've seen the HE available online in Aus.

I was about to buy one, now i'll wait - again! lol

The GPU is worth the wait--scores 2000 3DMark06, doesn't add to the netbook's weight (still 1.4 KG) and battery life is still reasonable (up to five hours).
