Apple has allowed an update to an application on the iPhone called "Hottest Girls", which displays pictures of girls topless. The update was released today for the 3.0 software and already has "sold out".The virtual application which can be duplicated an infinite number of times has actually "sold out", due to an overload of users trying to download the application which could possibly crash the AppStore. The developers pulled the plug only hours after its release due to an over whelming demand for the application. The current message just displays "sold out".
This is possibly the first of many not safe for work (NSFW) applications to launch in the AppStore, but customers must be 17+ years or older to download the content.
The developers posted a message letting users know that the application will return shortly after a short server break, with all the content intact:
"The Hottest Girls app is temporarily sold out. The server usage is extremely high because of the popularity of this app. Thus, by not distributing the app, we can prevent our servers from crashing. Those who already have the app will still be able to use our app. To answer the question on everyone's mind: Yes, the topless images will still be there when it is sold again." -ATG dev team
Title is totally misleading though, topless only girls are still *far* from porn.

If I had an iPhone/iPod Touch the first app I would have bought would have been iFart.

It's funny how they mean different things in different contexts, an app by apple with topless women is considered pornographic while a nudist beach in Europe doesn't even raise a bypassers eyebrow.

It's not the AppStore that would crash, that's flat out ridiculous. The images are stored on a server owned by the app creator, that's what is overloading. :/

I own a jailbroken iPod Touch, I don't have teh topless app, I don't have porn on it, neither do the majority of people I know who have one!! In what way are they perverted for wanting to see naked forms anyway? I wouldn't consider this a perversion, surely that's just a healthy interest in the human form?? Judgement much!!!!
