Microsoft has unveiled a new website with the focus on 'cool' technologies that Microsoft has created.According to Microsoft blogger Steve Clayton, Microsoft Wave "is a cool new site from our UK team that is something we've long been without – a cool site that isn't trying to sell anything, simply showing the breadth of cool technology that Microsoft is involved in."
Currently Wave hosts information on:
- Microsoft 2019 vision
- Microsoft Tag
- Photosynth
- Project Natal
- Worldwide Telescope
- Surface
- Deepzoom

And plus, Google Wave hasn't been released yet.

The release date do not matter in trademarks. They could have filed the tm months ago.
All that matters is if a) it's brought to court by Google, and b) it's judged as confusing enough to the general public. Yes, it's not software, it's a showcase, but a showcase of software. I don't think Google will care though.
Google embracing open source has nothing to do with product trademarks....
Also Tom thank you for pointing out it's a Microsoft UK creation.
The UK team don't get enough credit for all their work and creations.
Most people just assume wrongly that everything is made in the US which annoys me.

Sorry to bust your bubble but UK (and most other countries) don't make creations.
Problably a US idea but handed to UK because it would work better.

Sorry, that doesn't make sense at all then you should not give credit to google for creating their search engine. Etc, etc. There are so many things wrong here. Anybody can think, it's about implementing.
As was Microsoft Surface I believe.

Who invented the very internet your using? A british man called Tim Burns you ignorant person. The US doesn't invent no where near as much as it used to, America has passed its peak, India and China are the future.

However, you may be thinking of a conference given by the US scientists in 1973 at a conference in england. Unable to find any reference to a Tim Burns in any Internet history. Although, he is an Australian actor.
Now, in rebuttal to the person who says that only the US invents things. We wouldn't even BE in the US if it weren't for European inventions. Do you think we WALKED here? I mean, native Americans did, but my ancestors didn't. I think they came on huge sailing ships that I am pretty sure not only weren't build in the US, nor invented here. Oh, and guns. Are those Us inventions? I mean sure, we have invented all kinds of new ways to kill people, most of my relatives utilized them in several wars, but we didn't invent the gun in the US. I could continue down the list all the way to fire and the wheel if you would like. I'm proud to be an American, but come on, we aren't the only country in the world. The Brits invented the typewriter, the microphone, heck even the mp3 player.

You're thinking of Tim Berners-Lee, who invented the World Wide Web at CERN. But yes, he is English, although he had some help from others at CERN who were from other European nations, such as Robert Cailliau from Belgium, in its development.
Not that I really care since my post also spoke to both arguements.

as bad as Adobe and their flash.
No 64bit support.
Shame.

Try and find out the hidden easter egg.
I love working for MS...
interesting idea though, not sure what it adds being able to zoom out so that all the photos together are only one pixel.
And it's a nice zoom demo, zooming out far enough to show everything on one page just shows the ability of the tech. I don't see why you're trying to find something to knock it for.
Zombie apocalypse?
The new language that happens after the Zombie apocalypse of course. Zombies can't read it.
But in all seriousness, this site is really awesome, the pptPlex software is really cool and it might be how I present future powerpoints.
Just think if we had basically a handful of different systems all with a equal stake in the market right now. Things could very well move slower, or they'd move fast but the different systems wouldn't interact well or at all together because of competition.
Each platform would have it's specific apps and specific api's and if gov didn't step in to put anything in order we'd might have a huge mess of things.

very true, all the anti MS ppl dont get that
if MS dissapeared and linux was put its in place, it would be a disaster
there are 100's of distro's, no standards, everyone would be doin their own thing and sharing information would be really hard
i give MS credit where they deserve it
oh and about MS wave, i like it, every company should have something like this
Those of us that do things on our computer don't really care about cool or not.
