I'm here in Berlin at TechEd but skipped the keynote to go and do some labs, etc and get back to the hotel before the rush... I'm there to learn some technologies, products and skills in the server area - I figured the keynote would just be the normal sales blurb, and would focus more strongly on Windows 7 seeing as it's just launched.

So far it's good - enjoyed all the sessions today.. a good but very low level Virtualization overview first thing, then a good little session on security with Mark Minasi (great to see a presenter so enthusiastic!) and then followed that all off with a Best Practice session regarding Windows Server 2008 R2 on ProLiant hardware.

There's some great sessions in my schedule over the next few days - looking forward to it! Wish the weather was a bit nicer though

Apparently the keynote was a bit of a stinker - a fair bit of chatter about it on Twitter.. some folks saying about half of the delegates left during it! Glad I skipped it tbh!

Mind you, plenty of people were leaving midway through some of the sessions I was in - not quite sure exactly what they were expecting to see? The overview in on the schedule builder was quite clear about what was being covered in each session... some people eh?
