Microsoft has made the latest beta of Office 2010 available to MSDN and TechNet customers. The release follows news that Office 2010 beta builds have begun leaking from the software giant.
It's widely expected that a public beta build of Office 2010 will be available this week. Microsoft has kept quiet on the reports but has hinted on the official Office twitter account "MS Office team has some exiting news to tell at PDC. This is a must attend event. Stay tuned!" and a follow up post hints at possible social networking features in Outlook, "would you like your inbox to talk to your social networks? Useful integration or distraction?". Stay tuned for all the PDC 2009 information as Neowin will be live in Los Angeles this week.
Update:

uhmm this build leaked 3-4 weeks ago!
Im getting about that too! Never seen it that fast before!
Wow bro, in Australia that's considered extremely fast lol (at least outside major cities)
lol... what would you say if you see the speed in Japan..... those guys have the fastest...
Well, at least it's not serious, not like you're dying (or dyinggggggg).
news are that its same version as previous leaked beta from wzor... however we can expect geting 14.0.4536.1000 today bit later
MSDN subscriber downloads show a file: en_office_professional_plus_2010_beta_x64_x16-19234.exe, but until it's down I don't know build number

Go to the Help page and it clearly shows that build number.
Sorry

Untrue; the NDA was lifted shortly after the TGech Pewview was made available (per posts on the newsgroups and the Office 2010 page on Connect itself). There's a post (from me) in the Windows Beta forum corroborating this.
dont give a **** about office, sharepoint tho

I have no subscription. Other place?
Oh! I can't wait, i want to see how stable it is. Maybe someone will upload it on torrent.
i want the normal office logo there. its better that way
64 bit build is 14.0.4536.1000
On installation the setup didn't ask for the product key. However to activate I went into Word and help. Clicked change product key, and typed in my product key and then clicked ok and it activated office.
Oh, and I don't think everyone understands the already leaked build is 14.0.4514.1004 and 14.0.4536.1000 was released today.

Well, I'm not asking for the "keys to your house." I just need to fix the leaky pipes! To answer your question, I could wait, but then I wouldn't have it now!
We don't pay for our MSDN and TechNet Subscriptions for nothing. If you want it then pay for a subscription or go else where.
My pipes aren't leaking. They're fine

Visio and Project still require their own keys and again, no problem with those either.
Did you have an earlier Office 2010 build installed?
So, yeah.. I REALLY didn't like it. I hope the final build has a better theme.
I don't think I will try any of the future updates, beta wise, I will wait to RTM and make an informed decision then.
Not good enough yet, school report states, "good do better".
Like Vista – all bling – no function.
If they wanted to improve Office they SHOULD have -
1. Made outlook open multiple e-mail accounts as full exchange -not an additional mailbox with some functionality or pop/imap with very limited functionality but two seperate exchange profiles simultaneously from multiple exchange servers.
2. Full OLE support for pictures in access – umm wasn't that functional with Office XP – why take that out? Why should someone have to code to add pictures to a personal database? Might was well use oracle or a real database if you are going to have to use code. Adding Office XP photo editor is the work around but why not just add photo editor back into office if that is the solution?
3. Offer the old menu bar for people (most of my clients) who don't want to learn the new menu bar. You can finally modify the ribbon to some extent in 2010 however my clients just want their old ribbon bar. Frankly I have no issue with the new menu bar but I'm one person and most of my clients don't like it so prefer to stick with office 2003. MS could make money selling the new version if they just offered the old menu as a choice with the new ribbon.
