Nintendo announced today that they have shipped Mario Power Tennis for the GameCube. The game, which was designed with a "pick up and play" mentality, offers 14 classic Nintendo characters each with their own special strengths. Taking the court in Mario Power Tennis are Peach, Daisy and Shy Guy who are master technicians; Waluigi who specializes in defense; Wario, Donkey Kong and Bowser who rely on brute force; Koopa Troopa, Diddy Kong and Yoshi who are speed demons; and arch-tricksters Boo and Bowser Jr. who can put nasty english on their shots. Of course the famous Mario and Luigi will make an appearance and are both well-balanced characters.
