Mark your calendar: Live blog - Microsoft @ Mobile World Congress 2010

Mobile World Congress 2010 kicks off on Monday February 15 and what better way to mark its beginning than covering the Microsoft Press Conference?

Microsoft will hold a Press Conference at 3pm CET on February 15 where we expect them to unveil the future of Windows Mobile, Windows Phone 7. Amongst other things we're expecting a complete UI overhaul, codenamed "Metro" that looks and feels like the Zune HD interface.

Rumours suggest Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer will be present. When Neowin questioned Microsoft earlier this week on the inclusion of Ballmer a Microsoft spokesperson only stated “Microsoft does not comment on rumors or speculation.”

Join Tom Warren - Neowin.net and Long Zheng - istartedsomething.com for a live blog of Microsoft's Press Conference on Monday February 15, 3-4PM CET (other time zones). Please check back on Monday February 15 for the live blog.

Tom,

I saw that you were deciding between a Nexus One or iPhone as your next phone. Is it safe to say that what you saw at Mobius and what you believe will be shown at WMC won't really be a contender? I think between you and Jason Dunn's tweets coming out Mobius, it sounded like MS might have a game changer on hand.

Thanks for liveblogging this event too, however. cheers.

"Cooking" is a term for creating custom ROM's for Windows Mobile, as in NRGZ "cooked" these awesome ROM's for our Touch Pro 2 (http://thewingster.com/NRGZ28.aspx)

That joke really made no sense at all :/. That's all he's trying to say.

That's because the OP simply meant "cooking up" as a figure of speech, in the same context as "what have the devs been working on for the past two years." Nothing more.
