Masters Of Doom Book Coming

Random House will publish a book in early May titled "Masters of Doom: How Two Guys Created an Empire and Transformed Pop Culture".

The book, written by David Kushner, will concentrate on the lives of John Carmack and John Romero, their efforts on the creation of Doom, the impact they have had on the field of video games and mainstream media and more. The book is based largely on new and extensive interviews with Carmack and Romero as well as others connected with them. The Random House web site also contains an excerpt from the first chapter.

The book will be available both as a hardcover and an eBook (though the eBook listing has an incorrect image as its cover). Readers of Game Informer magazine can read an interview with Kushner in the latest print issue (dated April 2003) about his work on Masters of Doom.
