This week mrk makes another appearance, this time reviewing the Samsung Allshare Cast Wireless HDMI Dongle.

I have both this and an apple tv, and bar the itunes functionality, this little (and better priced) device puts the apple tv to shame. well done Samsung.

Apparently this thing only streams from a Galaxy S III or Galaxy Note 10.1. It won't work as a standalone product like the Apple TV does. Or allow you to do display mirroring from your notebook / desktop (and obviously won't work with your iPhone/iPod touch/iPad). I don't think it works with iTunes either.

Pretty cool tech! I'm especially amazed by the audio. How that transmits from a 'tiny' phone to a cinema-like experience on an HD TV.
