Microsoft brings Outlook to the Apple Watch

Over the past year, Microsoft has shown that it is committed to putting its software on every device that its customers are using; everything from Amazon tablets to the latest devices from Apple. If you are using the Outlook app on iOS and also have an Apple Watch, Microsoft has pushed out an update for that app to bring it to Apple's new wearable.

While the previous app already had some functionality enabled on the Apple Watch, the update brings support for a full app on the Watch. With the new app, not only can you see full emails but also reply to them without needing to go to another device. Archiving and scheduling emails for later is now also possible from the Watch itself. Notifications have also been improved, letting you see more of the email; you can even quickly glance at your unread emails by swiping up from the Watch face.

For those on Android Wear or sporting one of Microsoft's own Band, the team did leave a hopeful note:

PS: Psst, don’t have an Apple Watch? Don’t worry, we have plenty of cool new features coming your way very soon.

While sales of the Apple Watch are not currently known and it is believed they fell below expectations of analysts estimates but it is believed it is the most popular smart watch on the market. Seeing that Microsoft is all about making devices more productive and Apple's own email app comes up short on your wrist, it's a natural extension of Outlook to bring this functionality to the device.
