Microsoft's 12 Days of Deals promotion is in full swing this week, with the latest deal offering up a 15.6-inch ASUS Windows 8.1 convertible notebook for just $299, saving you $200 off the usual price. But another deal is available from Microsoft right now as well, and unlike the others, this one will be around for longer than 24 hours.
If you purchase a Surface Pro 3 before January 4, you'll get a free protective sleeve for the tablet. According to Windows Central, that sleeve is the Snugg Surface Pro 3 Sleeve, with a retail value of $29.99, although Microsoft's promotional image appears to show the $39.99 Brenthaven Collins Sleeve Plus instead.
Still, if you're not entirely impressed with that offer, that's kind of understandable, since thirty or forty bucks is almost a drop in the ocean versus spending up to two grand on the Pro 3. So perhaps Microsoft's second offer will win you over.
If you buy a Surface Pro 3 before December 20, Microsoft will give you a $100 promotional gift code, which you can redeem in its store. That's not quite as good as getting $100 off the tablet itself, but it does mean that you can pick up accessories for it using the promo code - so you could get a Type Cover 3 for just $29, for example.
The promo code will be sent out within 3-5 days of your Surface Pro 3 purchase, and as along as you get all your orders in before December 21, Microsoft should be able to ship your stuff to you in time for Christmas.
