After many months in development, and with the help of over 7 million Windows Insiders around the world, Microsoft began its rollout today of the Windows 10 Anniversary Update.
Unfortunately, PC users are the only ones to get the update today; despite earlier assurances from the company that Windows 10 Mobile would also be upgraded at the same time, Microsoft said today that it won't arrive for those devices until "the coming weeks".
With the long-awaited public release of the Anniversary Update - also known by its development codename, Redstone 1 - Microsoft has now made ISOs available to download from its Windows Insider site. Five editions are available:
- Windows 10 Insider Preview - Build 14393
- Windows 10 Insider Preview Enterprise - Build 14393
- Windows 10 Insider Preview Education - Build 14393
- Windows 10 Insider Preview Home Single Language - Build 14393
- Windows 10 Insider Preview Home China - Build 14393
Microsoft will begin releasing new Insider Preview builds from the Redstone 2 development branch later this month.
