Microsoft holding US events to show off Windows Phone 7 devices

Microsoft really wants to show the public that it is serious about entering the competitive smartphone market with Windows Phone 7. The official Windows Phone blog site announced plans today to hold a series of public events to show off the new generation of smartphones with the OS in a number of US cities over the next several weeks. The phones that Microsoft will be showcasing will include the HTC Titan, the HTC Radar, the Samsung Focus S and the Samsung Focus Flash. There's no word if Microsoft will also bring along any of Nokia's WP7 devices for these US events.

While all the US events will be free to attend, Microsoft says that tickets will be limited. You can head over to the official Windows Phone page on Facebook to reserve your place at the event of your choice. Besides being able to check out the HTC and Samsung Windows Phone 7 phones, Microsoft will also provide food from local restaurants at each event. And if you like indie music, you can also listen to some live performances from select indie bands during your visit.
