Microsoft MVPs to host global Windows 7 summit

Most of us already know what to expect when Windows 7 is officially released next month. However for those of you who are unfamiliar with the product, or want to know more about the new features, a worldwide Windows 7 Summit is being held on October 7th free of charge.

The summit is going to be held online, and is hosted by 5 Microsoft MVP's who worked closely with Microsoft during the development of Windows 7.

The website welcomes you with: "Meet the team that worked closely with the development team in Redmond, built production systems, configured, deployed, hardened, debugged, tested, crashed, modified and ran the new platform through all possible scenarios."

The webinar will feature experts from around the world that will perform live demos, in-depth presentations, answer questions, and bring you up to date on what you need to know about Windows 7. The five speakers that will be speaking during the event are:

Mikael Nyström: Microsoft MVP and Senior Executive Consultant with a very broad competence.

He has done the most within infrastructure for small and large environments. He works with everything from SCOM, SCCM, MDT, Sharepoint, Exchange, Active Dirctory, Virtualization, SBS and EBS. Mikael is a highly popular speaker, and is frequently used by Microsoft for their partner training. Today he is highly involved in the Microsoft TAP for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2.

Johan Arwidmark: Consultant and all-around geek specializing in Enterprise Windows Deployment Solutions.

Johan speaks at several conferences each year, including IT-Forum, MMS and TechEd. Today Johan has a big focus on Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Deployments. Johan has been awarded Microsoft Most valuable Professional (MVP) in Setup & Deployment.

Marcus Murray: One of the world's foremost experts in IT-Security.

He has been voted top speaker at TechEd Europe (2005 - 2007) and TechEd US (2007-2008). Today he is focusing on the security features in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 as well as working with security auditing. Marcus is an Microsoft MVP for enterprise Security.

Christoffer Andersson: Focusing on Active Directory, but has spent quite some time on other Microsoft technologies. He was discovered by Microsoft in Redmond at the age of 17 as an Active Directory wiz-kid.

He already then was working with advanced configuration and troubleshooting of Active Directory. The past 4 years, he has been awarded Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) in Active Directory. Current focus is Active Directory in Windows Server 2008 R2 and new features in Windows 7

Hasain Alshakarti: A worldwide security expert and computer industry speaker, he has been speaking at TechED US and TechED Europe.

His main focus is networking and PKI but he is also well known for his broad knowledge in security. In his work with the Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Microsoft TAP, he is implementing PKI for enterprise customers.
