Microsoft releases new Office for Android Insider build

Microsoft today released another update to Office for Android Insiders, bringing the version number to 16.0.7329.1002. Unlike most recent builds, this one doesn't contain much in terms of features. Instead, it mainly focuses on bug fixes.

Here is the changelog for today's update:

PowerPoint

  • Fresh new look : A better experience for reading presentations on your phone. Drag and drop to reorder slides and double-tap to edit

Word

  • Bug fixes

Excel

  • Bug fixes

As you can see, PowerPoint seems to be the only area where there's any action with this update. Still, bug fixes are always welcome.

If you want to be an Office for Android Insider, you'll have to sign up for the Google+ community. Once you're in, you can sign up to be a beta tester for each individual app, including Word, Excel, or PowerPoint. Once you sign up, you should receive updates through the Google Play Store.

Microsoft also announced that there would be a Fast ring for Office Insiders. It's currently only available for Mac and Windows, but the firm has promised that it would be coming to iOS and Android soon.
