Microsoft Store Black Friday sales include Surface cover discount

Microsoft has already announced a number of Black Friday 2012 sales surrounding its Xbox 360 console. Today, the Microsoft Store website announced some deals of its own, including a discount for a Touch or Type Cover for its new Surface tablet.

The website reports that the savings actually start on Thursday at 12 am, following the lead of many other retailers this year who will launch "Black Friday" sales on Thanksgiving. One of the deals will give people who purchase a Surface bundle from Microsoft a $50 discount on a Touch or Type cover for the Windows RT tablet. The deal is only good from Friday through Sunday.

In addition, the Microsoft Store Twitter account says that the first 100 people who purchase a Surface will also get a free sleeve that's been designed for the tablet. There's no image yet of what this sleeve looks like.

The page also has listings of other price cuts planned for Black Friday 2012 on Microsoft software such as Office Home and Student 2010, Xbox 360 games and more. They include price cuts of $200 off the Acer Aspire V5 notebook and $150 off the Sony Visio 14-inch Ultrabook.

Black Friday is a moral sacrilege to our founding history as Americans. Every year, human lives are claimed by a feverish frenzy of glutinous greed as shoppers are driven to the brink of insanity by the eccentricities of this circus. Shopping should never be a sport nevertheless the most dangerous one. No life is worth a gaming console, computer or any electronic device. I just love how that guy says it's not a real tablet..... seriously? common iOS is freaking OSX just with the desktop removed... Windows 8 is basically the same thing but with an option to use a desktop if you want to, the guy makes it sound like you have to use it and that's a horrible thing! but then people said windows xp tablet edition wasn't a real tablet.... when no other tablets where around

The TITLE of that article is "An iPad Lover's Take On The Surface With Windows RT"
It's obviously going to be negative. Look for more realistic reviews to base your decision on or go try it out yourself.

I don't think it's worth $500 but I don't htink any crappy non-full-windows tablet is worth buying. Maybe at $100, but there haven't been any good ones at that price point. Even $200 is still too much for basically a toy in my opinion.

Just noticed the top comment on that article is from the douche Chris Pirillo with his ****ty and conveniently cut dad using windows 8 video.

Blind faith is certainly better than a reviewer's input.
