Microsoft Store in San Francisco to hold Razer Blade launch party Friday

In March, Razer announced it would release a new version of its high end Razer Blade 14-inch laptop later this year. On Friday, the company will celebrate the official launch of the gaming notebook with a free party for anyone to attend at the Microsoft Store location in downtown San Francisco.

The event officially begins at 6 pm local time at the store, located in the Westfield San Francisco Centre shopping mall. Yes, there will indeed be Razer Blade laptops to purchase at the event, and everyone who buys one at the store on Friday will also get a Razer prize pack with unknown items. The first 100 people in line for the event will also get an exclusive Razer "swag bag" so folks who are planning to attend might want to show up early.

From 6 to 8:30 pm, visitors to the Microsoft Store can see the Razer Blade in action as pro gamers will compete in 2v2 matches. Starting at 9 pm, there will be an after party that will let attendees play against those pro gamers, along with refreshments, a DJ and raffles all through the night. Razer will distribute a limited number of wrist bands to attend the after party so, again, people who are coming to the event are advised to show up early.

Just a reminder: The Razer Blade itself has a 14 inch touchscreen with a resolution of 3200x1800. It supports up to 8 GB of RAM, and up to 512 GB SSD for storage. It packs a Intel Core i7-4702HQ processor and a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 870M graphics card with 3GB of GDDR5 RAM. The price for the laptop is $2,199.
