Microsoft updates DreamSpark with new apps

DownloadSquad is reporting Microsoft has updated their DreamSpark website and added applications that are now available for download. DreamSpark is a service Microsoft has provided for high school and university students to download and get access to development products for free.

For a full list of the software available with DreamSpark, check the support FAQ. In brief: Visual Studio 2010, Windows Phone, XNA Game Studio 3.1, SQL Server 2008, Expression Studio 3.0 and Windows Server 2003, and 2008.

There are limitations on some of the software that is available but it is a great way for a student to learn development on different devices and the licensing allows the students to make some money from their applications.
