Microsoft updates Live Search for Mobile

Microsoft Corporation has released a new version of its Windows Live Search for Mobile service. The update includes single click directions for all businesses and street addresses in the United States; additional details for U.S. businesses (including neighbourhood, business category, and cuisine); hours of operation (when available); photos (up to two); and reviews (up to ten) for U.S. businesses. In addition, improved movie show times and critics' ratings are available through Instant Answers. It is also now possible to zoom in and out to pre-defined levels on all maps or click to advance to the next waypoint for routing maps. Let us know how the new version works you.

lol..I haven't openned the box yet..I have hever owned anything from apple and I am not really a fan of the company, but it was a gift from my girlfriend :suspicious:

I modifed my HTC wizard with an os from xda-developers

the best tool that I ever installed on it is callwave..no more checking voice mail again

Care to elaborate more on this callwave? I went to www.callwave.com, and it has something about visual voicemail, but I can't tell if it's free or not :worried:

Callwave is free. It allows you to switch your voice mail provider to them. They e-mail your voicemail to you as mp3s or wave files (I forget which). I used it and liked it a lot, but not using your carrier's voicemail service will make your phone unable to automatically display things like voicemail counts, if that matters to you at all.

the whole process of checking voice mail is not intuitive at all..I get tons of messages "call me back" or "I am downstairs"

usually knowing who is calling is enough to figure out the message, but we still have to call the voice mail and manually go through each message before we delete it

with callwave your voice mail is transcribed and sent to you as a text message. Now you never have to call your voice mail.

pretty slick

How's that GPS on the iphone working for you?

On a more relevant note, this new update came down automatically and pretty slick on my HtC Touch. Live Search is working great with my Holux M-1200 key fob. No, it's not going to beat a full fledged GPS, but it's great for the occasional use. My biggest beef with Live Search has always been semi-dodgy searches. Gotta love that Speech to text search action too.

Too little too late..I got an Iphone for Christmas

anyone want to buy a used HTC Wizard with an upgrade win mobile 6.0 OS?
