Movie to be based off of the 'I Love You' virus.

The movie entitled, "I Love You", based off of the well-known "Melissa Virus" is in post production and scheduled for release some time in 2009. It stars Kristin Bauer, Dean Cain and Briana Evigan.

For those who need a refresher the "I Love You" virus was a worm released on May 4th 2000, that upon infection would mail itself to those on the contact list of the infected. It also made several malicious changes to the infected computer. Its name was acquired from the fact that it was usually sent as an attachment in an email that had "I Love You" as a subject header.

The movie, according to Evigan, is about a Filipino boy who attempts to contact an American girl. His attempts are unsuccessful so his friends suggest that he send out a computer virus. Unfortunately, there is not much information available at this point and time. It is also relatively unclear is the inspiration of the "I Love You" virus is evident solely in the fact that the boy writes a virus, or whether this will be a movie playing on the origin of the actual virus.

Get ready for two hours of counter-culture young hacker stereotypes in a movie that happens entirely in someone's dark basement with a computer that makes cheeky beeping noises and a SWAT team raid at the ending.

Yeah, cos girls go all damp knickered and weak at the knees at the feet of the almighty script kiddie and his substandard code-fu.

Come back "Hackers" with your FMV over a 33.6kbps modem, all is forgiven.

Only the sex scene would be good, but the guy is a geek. So chances of him being with a girl are almost slim/none. Thats the main thing thats gonna make this film a flop.

Despite it's story, I bet the film still manages to squeeze in the usual sex scene, a car chase, an explosion, a spaceship and other hollywood essentials

to be fair Dean Cain was in an episode of smallville, he played a villain though. but you're right, how anyone could confuse Dean Cain with Tom welling is crazy. Also Kristin Bauer in bones? do you mean that one episode about the time Capsule? I think it's kind of strange that someone would use references to guest appearances like that as if they were regulars on those shows. neither of those actors have been on more then one episode of either of the shows they are listed as being from.

My apologies, I'll find some better references and put those in the article instead. I simply used reference of where I've known the actors from, clearly I am out of the loop.

um...i feel pretty geekish to point out that dean cain was from lois & clark, not smallville. tom welling is from smallville.
