Mozilla Secretly Launches A Viral Campaign For Firefox

Mozilla has quietly launched a new viral campaign in support of Firefox, complete with song (YouTube TC exclusive above) and some fighting words against Internet Explorer.

The main part of the campaign is a site by the name of Fight Against Boredom which apparently means don't use Internet Explorer, use Firefox. The site itself features a fake talk show setup, links to a Facebook page, downloads for the fight boredom song, and links to download Firefox.

Did anybody else notice that the "more likely to do extreme sports" statistic showed up twice, or was it just my imagination? I can't really justify watching it again to check....

Also, NINJA!

Is this really a song promoting firefox?
I see no connection(s) whatsoever.

This video is more random than some random crazy jap hentai comics.

Hate to crash the party but Safari 3 with the Saft plugin on a Mac is better. Faster, lighter on system resources, less memory consumption, snap back, better RSS functionality, better book mark system, and just plain sexier in appearance.

But a good number of sites don't work correctly with Opera; Blogger's write/post/rich text dialogue doesn't work properly - one example.

^^ He mentioned Safari, not Opera. :P

Apple's done well by bringing over a KHTML/WebKit based browser to Windows.

They got the engine nailed. Their core user interface? Nope. For one you can't force new windows to open in tabs - taskbar clutter right there. Is the thing even out of beta yet?

On Mac you hold Command when you click a link which will force the link in a new tab. I imagine it would be Control on Windows. The Windows version is still in beta.

Because works better with visual studio .net. W3C define by titled the web standard but Iexplorer is the standard de facto. You can decided to support the w3c rules or to keep happy at least 90% of the customers.

Because currently ie7 is less bloated that firefox.

Because open more quicky.

that was ***ing lame lame lame! Why is that even posted here? I just uninstalled Firefox so I'm not associated with whatever that was...*cringe* LOL

Hey as long as they got paid right?... I hope they got paid because that was stupid. Mr Chocolate Rain should have because pepsi or coke paid him to sing for their new chocolate flavor drink.

I actually kind of hope that Opera does a similar video with people singing opera, that would be pretty funny. Although, it would probably only warrant one watch as this one did. Still would be funny though.

I opt for IE7 than firefox...because it just works well for me :-) (with iepro plugin)....never installed firefox.

I am not a fanboy though...i have safari, opera ..i rarely use it too..

Mozilla Secretly Launches A Viral Campaign For Firefox

Some secret viral campaign, now that every tech site in the world blurts the news out.

As far a viral campaigns (Mozilla, Microsoft), I like www.msdewey.com better.

Firefox users are also 50% more likely to be an attention whore on YouTube?

STV

Oh my

40% more likely to have been on a date
16% less likely to have a fungal infection

hahaha
It is a bit of a pump ad though.

At least mr Chocolate Rain sang a bit, lol
