Is this the first Kinect for Windows device?

Intel didn't say much about this piece of kit, but we snapped a picture of it on our way out of the press conference here at CES 2012. The device appears to be some sort of Kinect device for Windows, and we're wondering if Intel will talk about it more tomorrow at their keynote.

In the demo, they waved at a screen (the same way you wave at Kinect to get its attention), then used it to select menus on a kiosk based screen. The icons for use of the device are even the same, with the "hand" icon from the Xbox 360 showing on screen to show what you're hovering over. It works about as well as it does on the Xbox, too.

To us, it looks like this is an early device which is intended for use with Windows 8 once it supports it, but for now we'll sit on our hands and wait until we hear more.
