Neowin Giveaway: Lenovo A70Z (US/Canada only)

Up for grabs this time around is the Lenovo A70Z which Neowin reviewed earlier this year. The unit will be shipped directly from Lenovo as a brand new unit.

So what do you have to do to win this rig? It’s simple, visit this thread and enter your favorite A70Z feature. Visit Lenovo’s website here and find your favorite feature. Then, paste the feature into the forum thread.  You can do this once per day (do not enter more than once per day, we can tell) for the duration of the contest. A winner will be randomly selected from the entrants.

The contest will run from July 14 to midnight on July 18 EST. As this product is only sold in the US and Canada, the contest will be restricted to US and Canadian participants only. Sorry to all the other readers, but we don’t make the rules on this one. Don’t worry, we will cook up something for you all too in the future.

Quick Notes:

Other websites are participating in the contest too; visit them to find out their contest details as they may differ from Neowin's. The websites are listed in order of ending date of their giveaway, but you should check them out for all their details.

Update:  To enter, paste your favorite feature, not a configuration.  Those who have pasted configurations in the thread will have their entries counted.

"all-in-one desktop computer"

I really like the concept of an all in one, but I don't appreciate HP or Gateway as much as Lenovo. This can enable me to have that living room computer I've always wanted, since my laptop is too small and slow.

What do you not understand about "we don't make the rules"?

Just let the winner pay the postage costs? If I was the winner, I would pay it immediately!

From what I understand, its not that you couldnt use the product in your area, its that you would have no support if something happened to the unit.

The reason they limit it to US and canada is coz it will never be sent.

Country it to big, they can say it got lost in the post and no one will argue.

But if the UK was involved we are so small we could find a needle in essex lol

So when will this side of the river get any prizes?

Does Lenovo count Puerto Rico as US territory? (we're a commonwealth of the United States)

Yeah, you want to be considered part of the US but every chance you get to vote to become more than a territory you say no, so I'd think not.

Please understand these are contests giving away free items. As we may not be able to include everyone, this is FOR A REASON.

It's hard finding companies that allow us to give away prizes outside of the US. When I deal with companies, the moment I tell them I am Canadian, they usually ask for a US address for someone within the country to do a review.

In order for us to give away prizes in the UK, Germany, Japan and other places around the world, we need either:
A) A company that allows us to give away prizes worldwide, or
B) A company located in that specific region, that will only allow us to give away prizes locally.

Oh have them send it to a US staff and they ship it out?

That is a possibility, but usually companies do not want us to ship it outside of the US, and if they ever find out, that could easily cause problems.

They don't want to do it because of taxation for each country, the laws for competitions and prices etc. you asking them to send the price to a US address and then the staff member at hand sends it to the real winner shouldn't be a problem.

Theres no config thing on the lenovo page.

Also can't find it. Maybe they hid it so only the pro can enter

I cant find the custom configuration tool. It's only available for the A Series, M Series and M90z but not for the A70z.

Don't see it either.

Same here. I just posted a link to the CDW config. They'll probably disqualify me if I win, but it was the closest thing I could find.
