Neowin Giveaway: Nokia Lumia 900 courtesy of Quixby!

Put on your lucky shoes and get out that rabbits foot because it is time for another great giveaway courtesy of Quixby. What is Quixby you say? Quixby is a new site that makes building a custom PC a more fluid and unique experience. Take a look at their site that draws inspiration from Microsoft's Metro design language as it neatly lays out the components you need for your next custom build.

We know that Neowin readers love to build their own machines because buying a pre-built PC is, well, not nearly as fun as shoving 8 gigs of RAM in to that new mobo you specced out for the last 3 months. The team is from Ohio and is looking for help to spread the word about their new site and has generously offered up a Lumia 900 to our readers as bait.

Quixby is straight forward process, pick out your parts, add them to your shopping cart then hit check out. The site then pre-loads a shopping car at NewEgg or Amazon to let you utilize their buying power for lower prices. Quixby simply streamlines the part selection and allows you to navigate each component in a way that makes finding the best product for your needs simple and quick.

The best part about the service is that it filters on the products you select. Say you pick an Intel Core i5-2320, when you move on to your Motherboard selection, the boards are filtered to only display the ones that will work with the CPU that you selected, no more digging through the specs to make sure its compatible with your chipset.

Finally, Quixby is still in beta but is functional, so ignore any small bugs you might see, they will be squashed very soon.

This competition will run from Monday and end Saturday, April 21 at 11:59PM EST. There are two ways to enter this competition and you can enter once per day, per method:

1: Post a reply to this thread

2: Re-Tweet this thread but you must use the hashtag #quixby

Remember, you can enter once per day, per method which means that you get two entries per day. Good luck to all who enter but only one will walk away with the Lumia 900!

Note: This competition is open to all Neowin readers that reply and/or retweet worldwide, we'll even ship it to you at our own cost.

Winner: Congratulations to our Winner, Michael Wiltkins!

wm same here. The thing is tho that the first Lumina (the 710) will reach Estonia in September. Almost a year later then the release. Stupid rules they got in Nokia

Last day...

My 5 entry vs 1580+ neowiners entry. I ve done the math and the conclusion is... the odds of me being selected is pretty slim....

That's it. End of the game. According to my complex calculations-recalculations, I am to win. But, who knows...?
Don't lose your optimism, guys!
Good luck to all! Except me...

Just kidding

Not sure about timezone differences so just in case here is another final entry for this, I want it so bad because I hate my QTek so bad!

Had to scroll a lot to get down here (no, there's no End button on my phone)... I could really use the touch scrolling on a Lumia in the future!

day #6 thanks to Neowin and Quixby i had one week to dream about winning a world competition of Nokia Lumia 900

My entry for sixth and last day. I really need a new phone to replace this six year old one I'm currently using. Hopefully I'll get lucky this time.

Would be nice to have such a Windows Phone. Also thanks for Quixby, didn't know that website before here in Belgium.

To NeoWin and Quixby, I'm currently working at a steel company in NY where being a new employee I get payed very low. I handle the employees and inventory here so having excel and word on my phone would be a major time saver. I'm a big fan of the N-series and per-ordered the lumia 900 only the get declined by ATT due to a bad credit score cause by a unfaithful ex girlfriend. Please choose me I can really use this phone over this company phone. Thank you.

We're no strangers to love
You know the rules and so do I
A full commitment's what I'm thinking of
You wouldn't get this from any other guy
I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling
Gotta make you understand

Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

We've known each other for so long
Your heart's been aching but
You're too shy to say it
Inside we both know what's been going on
We know the game and we're gonna play it
And if you ask me how I'm feeling
Don't tell me you're too blind to see

Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

One more try to get a BEAUTIFUL NOKIA! Usually if there's 9 prizes to 10 people, i'm the guy that gets NOTHING... So this time, let me get it!! lol

Thanks Quixby !!! Thanks Neowin !!!! And good luck to fellow Neowinians !!!! May the force be with all of ya'll !!!!!

Stephen Elop & Steve Ballmer never did offer me the free replacement phone I asked for via email direct with them after having issues with 3 UK network (both with an HTC Desire HD & my 1st Omnia 7 - I am on my 2nd Omnia 7 and third handset in 18months), so hopefully I'll win this to put it all right! :-)

g0dlike said,
Be mine please, I have a sh!tty old Nokia phone.

lol me too, i actually stuck the windows 7 sticker from my laptop on it, i'm so sad

Post #4: So I tried out Quixby. It is neat, though as mentioned there are quite a few bugs that need to be worked out. I've yet to be able to get through one complete build without a dialogue box popping up and just saying "true" and forcing me to start over. Maybe it's chrome. I'll give it a run in Firefox at some point. Nevertheless, thanks Quixby for the contest!

Another reply. Hi there, I'd love to have a Lumia 900! The boss asked me to bring my own phone and I have this old G1 Android that I'd like to give my little brother.

Just to be a bit different of the other entries.

My second spam post. This time nothing to do with shamwow.

Kickin' in the front seat
Sittin' in the back seat
Gotta make my mind up
Which seat can I take?
