How to win

This software normally retails at $49.95 USD (although it's reduced to $39.95 right now) so, quite a saving if you have a use for it.

All you have to do to enter the draw to win a license key, is comment below that you want it. Simple!

WinXDVD have asked me to promote their latest freeware DVD Ripper.

WinX Free DVD Ripper details

There are several DVD ripping and backup freeware in the market. However, most of them have stopped updating for years. They can’t meet users’ up-to-date DVD backup demands in both functions and decrypt abilities any more, such as rip and backup DVD to iPhone 4S, Android Phone.

The latest version of WinX Free DVD Ripper 5.5.0 can do it perfectly.

  1. It is able to remove all known copy protections including DVD CSS, UOP, RCE, region code and Sony ARccOS. The only DVD ripper freeware that supports the latest encrypted DVDs without the assistance of third-party DVD decrypter.
  2. About 14x real time. That is 3x – 5x faster than similar software which can even beat off commercial DVD ripping software. From official test, converting a DVD to iPhone takes only 10 minutes or so.
  3. Support ripping DVD to Android Phone with numerous preconfigured profiles for HTC, Samsung Galaxy, etc.

You can download this software here, and view more information about it.

If I win, when?

Ten members will be randomly selected from the comments below on Sunday 6 November and contacted via PM with a license key that you can activate until Nov 20th.

Good Luck!

I want it. Too bad the competition finished before I entered.

I wonder how many one-post-wonders entered (and won) ...

Count me in, but if I win I would buy a blue ray gizmo for my pc (I just don't expect my wife to agree, but....) LOL

Me me me!!! (Sam & Max Hit the Road)

Its my mine, my own my preeeeeeeeeeeecious!!! (Lord of the Rings)

Mine, mine, mine!!! (Finding Nemo)

As someone who's getting into building his Blu-Ray library and wanting to store more and more movies onto his HDD, this would be perfect. Count me in for sure!

I just got a blue ray player just last month. This gives me a reason to just bust it out and RIP RIP RIP : )

First time entry to giveaway contest from neowin, hopefully its a good one.

I'd like to have one of those keys.

Please - I have a huge collection of legal Blu-Rays and currently using an out-dated copy of something else! Would love to be able to keep up the archiving and the ability to put them on my Samsung Galaxy Sii!

Add me in as well. Would be very nice to covert all of my dvds and BlueRays onto my hard drives. I person should be able to just watch their movies. They should not be forced to go thru multiple previews, warnings, INTERPOL threats, etc.

Sure, I would love to win.....

And Technically under the Law you are allowed to remove copy protection in relation to backups in the US, where is it is intended for personal use only. Otherwise it would be illegal.

I NEED this! My two little ones are always ruining my DVDs and BluRays!! I'm able to backup the DVDs but have no software for BluRays. And unlike most people who are entering just to enter, I actually have a BR burner!!

The issue actually involves Non-technical people who make tech laws. In the US - It is legal for you to make a back up for your own use (The Sony betaMax case), it was even upheld recently that back up's are legal. However, we have (In the USA) the DMCA which does NOT say backing up is illegal, it says removing any copy protection schemes from media (decrypting) is illegal.

So you can legally backup your media as long as you dont remove the files that prevent you from backing up your media . These conflicting rule have yet to make it to the Supreme Court (that I'm aware of) to see if the left hand or the right hand wins .

Thats like telling a kid "You can eat as much candy as you like as long as you dont open the package the candy comes in" HUH!

Thats my technical 2 cents,

OK with that being said, yes I would like to be entered.

I like the irony - Neowin's strong antipiracy stance yet here you are giving away a blu ray ripper & promoting a dvd ripper.

There is no irony here. Ripping programs are perfectly acceptable to use providing that you own the original blu-ray.

Sidenote on the giveaway: Don't consider my post to be an entry post. I don't want this program, and I don't want to deprive another member of a key.

In most countries it's not illegal to backup your own DVDs and Blu-Rays.

But is removing the Encryption? You could backup a Bluray as an ISO without decrypting the video stream. I think a lot of countries have laws against breaking the copy protection mechanism I know that the USA does. Say where is Neowin hosted anyway?

Most countries don't have laws in the USA, like the Digital Millienum Copyright act or of they do, they actually prioritize law enforcement around severity of the crime and copy right infringement is lesser then say terrorism,, murder, sexual abuse, assault, etc.

This will soon be illegal in Canada if it breaks any digital locks aka DRM.
