New iPhone in June?

Engadget reports that Robert Watson, CEO of Saskatchewan-based carrier SaskTel, is quite possibly spilling some important beans about Apple's plan for a new iPhone. In comments to the media, he said:

"The good news is that (Apple) is coming out with a new version of the iPhone in the June time-frame and they're going to put us on that. So we're quite excited about that."

Yesterday, Neowin reported pictures (possibly fakes) of the upcoming iPhone. Apple has released a new upgrade for the iPhone every summer for the past three summers, so this isn't much of a stretch. Watson is also the CEO of the wireless carrier, so he would typically be privy to these kinds of things in advance.

Hmmmm, it's been known for months that a new iPhone (4G) is coming in June, so why is this news now?!

because it is not a announcement but a possible gossip about a new iphone.

:-?

Pretty obvious. I can image the angry call that guy might be getting from Steve Jobs as we speak.

or a curt email....!

Not any more after you've just spilled the beens.

Exactly. Didn't someone get 'uninvited' the last time they spilled the beans?

and everything revolves around apple.

It's sad that it happens that way. Hopefully Microsoft can take a big chunk of that away this fall and Google (I hate google) can gain more ground as they have the better mobile OS as of now. Apple just has it's cult to convince people it's what they want.

You can't say Google has the best Mobile OS. In fact no one can really say which is the best. It is all down to the user of the phone. Apple OS is the best for me, doesn't make it the best OS out of the 3. As it does what I need it to do. Only feature about the new OS 4.0 I'm interested in at the min is the mailbox that displays all. Multi tasking has no use to me on a phone. It is almost as if OS 4.0 is just out to shut up apple haters and anyone else who is moaning about multi tasking.

Yes because you represent every apple user, if you don't want multitasking, no other apple user should!

If the Apple is big enough it will have its own gravity lol

heh yea say goodbye to heliocentric system. applecentric is the new one.

I think its petty obvious even ignoring any of the recent rumours. The past two "upgrades" to the iphone have been announced in June, so why would this one be any different.
