New Rookies 'battle between generations' ad from Microsoft

Neowin reported earlier about the two new Windows ads which are part of the new ad campaign phase called Rookies. The ads featured 4 1/2 year old Kylie and 7 year old Alexa who use Windows Live Photo Gallery to enhance their pictures. To emphasize the same underlying message which is, how easy are Windows products to use, Microsoft has released another set of ads in its Rookies website to demonstrate the panoramic photo creation, slide show and photo sharing features of Windows Live Photo Gallery.

Sit back and enjoy the dramatic Rookies battle between different age groups below and find out who wins

This whole "Rookies" campaign is a rip-off off Nintendo's "Generations" campaign for Wii & DS.
I guess they are hoping for the same kind of success

C_Guy, just because Apple's ads may have been condescending doesn't mean that Microsoft's ads can't be condescending, either. If it's condescending, it's condescending.

(And of course, whether someone sees something as condescending or not is completely subjective, so don't get too riled up.)

Hmm Windows Live Photo Gallery gotta wonder if other platforms have been including some type of software like this for many years already.

In small doses MS . Seems like they took this campaign and set it to overkill. Bring out some new iterations of I'm a PC! and of course Seinfeld.

Just when I thought they were taking the "look at the cute kids doing adorable things on comupters" thing, they introuced everyone's grandma's and grandpa's into the picture...

...The whole windows live photo gallery ad campaign has been win.... Just wish they focused on some of their other products too...pretty much all of the live suite is awesome and deserves attention.

True about the Live components, but EVERYONE does photo editing and MS has needed a real answer to iPhoto for some time, now they have it.
