New update will bring Atari classics to Tesla's infotainment system

It looks like the upcoming vehicle software update for Teslas will include an Easter egg, one that will allow drivers to play some of the best retro classic games from Atari.

The news was tweeted by Elon Musk, who is the CEO of Tesla, stating that the V9.0 update will arrive in about four weeks. It looks like Musk is aiming to include Pole Position, Tempest, and Missile Command in the upcoming update. While this in itself would be a fun treat for any owner, Musk will take things a step further, having the controls for Pole Position will be linked to the physical steering wheel of the car. He clarified that the controls will only be active while the car is stationary.

Musk looks to be interested in expanding the idea of gaming inside of a Tesla, as he later put out a call for folks to apply, as the company was looking to create "super fun games that integrate the center touch screen, phone, & car irl". As mentioned before, if you own a Tesla, you should expect to see this update arrive in about a month or so.
