New Windows Media Player 7.1 Patch

Microsoft has released a patch that eliminates three security vulnerabilities in Microsoft® Windows Media™ Player 7.1.

  • Cache Disclosure vulnerability via Windows Media Player.

  • Privilege Elevation vulnerability through Windows Media Device Manager Service

  • Media Playback Script Invocation vulnerability.

Although this player comes with Windows ME I expect Microsoft is pushing WMP9 as you can't download 7.1 anymore.
