Nokia joins Samsung in slamming iPhone 5

It looks like the claws are officially out now that Apple has revealed the iPhone 5. Samsung is already running a set of print ads that tries to show that the Galaxy S III is, in Samsung's opinion, far superior to the iPhone 5.

Now Nokia is also joining in on the iPhone 5 bash wagon train. In a post on the company's official Twitter page on Saturday, it offered up some features that will be part of the company's upcoming Windows Phone 8-based Lumia 920 with a final tag that tries to slam the iPhone 5. It states, "Lumia 920: Wireless charging, amazing camera, screen you can use with gloves on and much more. No, it doesn't take a genius."

One could also interpret the Nokia Twitter message as a slam against Samsung as well, which used "It doesn't take a genius" as the tag line in its new print ad.

While it's great that Nokia is trying to go after the iPhone 5, it's also a little risky since the Lumia 920 hasn't been released and won't be for at least a few more weeks. There's also the matter that the "amazing camera" that the Lumia 920 is supposed to have was promoted by a video that Nokia later admitted did not actually use the Lumia 920 hardware.
