well at least my manga addon works on opera, i really hate the way that google its going by blocking addons outside of their chrome store and forcing people to use unstable version of chrome.

my default browser its firefox and just updated to 31

OK i've been trying to use this... at least the gui looks more polish than chromes... other than that what's the difference?

Opera Turbo. If you're in an area where you have slow connection speeds or very low bandwidth caps, the compression helps immensely.

I always recommend keeping a copy of Opera on a laptop for such scenarios.

The marketing blurb reproduced above is risible. "Offers lots of features" - but no examples.
"Freedom to truly open the web and explore" - split infinitive, and that's what browsers are for!
All so anodyne and so generic: these statements could apply to any browser.

There is nothing here that gives the slightest reason to switch to Opera. I dropped it long ago as it was resource-greedy and incredibly slow to shut down, and I certainly won't be going back on the strength of this.

Welcome to marketing I guess - the above is what Neowin chose to post the blog link tells you what's actually new. Personally I don't find it slow to shut down or worryingly greedy with resources but each to their own. It's just a browser, not a religious choice :)
