Orange UK to offer free Xbox 360 with Lumia 800 upgrade

The newly revealed Lumia 800 smartphone from Nokia will be offered by three UK wireless carriers sometime in November, but the one from Orange seems to have the best offer, especially if you are a console gamer. Orange is giving pre-orders for the Lumia 800 on its service a free Xbox 360 game console from Microsoft. The obvious link is that the Lumia 800 runs Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 operating system.

The FAQ page for this particular offer says that there will only be a limited number of the Xbox 360 units available. The page states, "If you pre-register for this promotion online, or pre-order the new Nokia Lumia 800 in an Orange shop before 16 November, we’ll endeavor to put aside an Xbox 360 for you until 30 November."

If you do decide to pre-order the smartphone from Orange, the Xbox 360 will be sent over about 30 days or so later. The FAQ page doesn't say which version of the Xbox 360 you will get; the cheaper 4G version or the more expensive one with the 250 GB hard drive. The page emphasizes that people who are interested in this offer can still get a free Xbox 360 without pre-registering for the Lumia 800 but that the numbers of consoles available will not last for very long.

Two other UK based wireless carriers, Vodafone and 3 UK, are also going to sell the Lumia 800 but they don't have any free incentive deals on their respective web pages.
