Patch: WinXP SP1 makes some programs ten times slower

As reported previously, a bug in Windows XP SP1 may cause some programs to launch 10 times slower because of a change in memory management in SP1 from XP retail.

Remember, only download the patch if you're actually experiencing problems. It's so special that you have to phone Microsoft and ask them to give it to you, but we've managed to track it down for your downloading pleasure.

I installed it and the immediate difference for me is [B]KaZaA Lite[/B] doesnt hog the CPU with WMP running. So this patch helped me!
