'Podcast' added to Oxford Dictionary

"Podcast" (a digital recording of a radio broadcast or similar programme, made available on the Internet for downloading to a personal audio player) is now an official part of the English language, as the word has been included in the Oxford Dictionary.

Other words making the big time include:

· fanboy: noun informal a male fan, especially one who is obsessive about comics, music, film, or science fiction

· offshoring: noun [mass noun] the practice of basing some of a company's processes or services overseas, so as to take advantage of lower costs

· supersize: adjective larger than average or standard sizes; extremely large. verb [with obj.] [often as adj.] (supersized) greatly increase the size of

· wiki noun a website or database developed collaboratively by a community of users, allowing any user to add and edit content.

Oh for those who might be wondering, "iPod" is already in the Oxford Dictionary and defined as "a proprietary name for a personal audio player."
