Porsche Expansion Pack released for Forza Motorsport 4

News comes to us today that Turn 10 Studios and Porsche Cars North America have announced that the Porsche Expansion Pack for Forza Motorsport 4 has been released. The pack gives players the opportunity to race in one of 30 Porsche cars.

The Porsche Expansion Pack can be downloaded via Xbox LIVE for 1600 Microsoft Points; obviously you have to already own Forza Motorsport 4 to use it though.

“This is an excellent opportunity for Porsche to offer a virtual experience with our sports cars in a very fitting environment – on race tracks around the world,” said Andre Oosthuizen, vice president of marketing for Porsche Cars North America. “In many ways, best-selling gaming titles like Forza Motorsport 4 generate enthusiasm for products that often translate into a lifelong connection to the brand.”

“Turn 10 has been pleased and privileged to work with the fans of Forza within the Porsche organisation,” said Mike Humphreys, director of business development at Turn 10 Studios. “We’re gratified about their enthusiasm for partnering with us to deliver their storied marque to the many fans of racing games.”

Porsche should have been included in the first place, so it's kind of lame they want people to shell out a bunch of money to buy these.

They couldn't put it in originally as back then, EA had an exclusive license to use Porsche cars in games (in fact, they had it since before the Forza series began). The exception to this was Forza 3, as EA actually agreed to collaborate with Turn 10 to let them have Porsches in their game; god knows why they didn't want to do it again for Forza 4.

Oh well, their exclusive license expired a short while ago now, so now we've got Porsches in Forza 4, and hopefully we'll see some in GT5 in the future.

Yeah, sure, you got quite your moneys worth of car models and physics and testing to make sure the cars simulate and perform as they should in the original. and because of licensing they couldn't include Porsche.

so because of that, you think that they should give away hundreds if not thousands of hours of modelling, texturing, testing, simulating checking physics and performances and so on.

by that logic, every car pack should be free untill every car in existence is in the game

please tell me you're just trolling, because I hope you're not being serious about this, that would be... sad...
