Pre-Black Friday deals on Xbox 360 consoles today

If you have been wanting an Xbox 360 game console, or have been waiting to get one for a family member or friend for the holidays, today might be the day that you should consider jumping in and buying one. Best Buy and Walmart are holding some pre-Black Friday sales events for the console today that include selling the Xbox 360 with the Kinect motion controller camera.

Best Buy is offering up an Xbox 360 console with a Kinect camera and a bonus $100 gift card for $299 for the 4GB version or $399 for the 250 GB version. Since the Kinect camera is included you also get the free game Kinect Adventures in both of these bundle deals. This sale ends later today.

Walmart is also offering a nice deal on a 4 GB Xbox 360 console with the Kinect sensor. You can get this collection for $299 and in addition to the free Kinect Adventures game, Walmart will also let you pick one Kinect-based game for free. There are certainly a lot of new Kinect titles to choose from this year, from Dance Central 2 to Once Upon a Monster to Kinect Sports 2.

Speaking of Kinect, those of you who have an Xbox 360 console but don't yet have a Kinect controller can also get a special deal directly from Microsoft. The company announced a new Kinect bundle for $149.99. In addition to the controller and Kinect Adventures you can get two download codes that can be used to get two free games, Fruit Ninja Kinect and The Gunstringer.

Also don't forget best buy rewards zone where you will get $ back as well. I think its $5.00 for every $250, not that big but its something :-/

but buy a macbook and its worth it

I bought the 250GB bundle from EB Games and then almost immediately after getting home with it, I saw this article. I jumped back in the car and headed right back to return it and then over to the Best Buy. Now I have this and a $100 gift card.

Almost jumped on this. Getting the Kinect bundle for my daughter for Christmas (for the Sesame Street game mostly)

But, paying $20 in tax at Best Buy, so that reduces the Gift Card worth to $80. Then, you're forced to shop at Best Buy, when most things can be had at Amazon for cheaper and sales tax free. So.... not worth it.

My understanding is that you can't buy gift cards with gift cards - or this seems to be the case with some stores.
