Pre-Black Friday sales for Xbox Live and PSN users

Black Friday 2011 doesn't begin technically until, well, Friday. That isn't stopping both Microsoft and Sony from offering Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 owners a ton of items on sale from now until next week.  The Major Nelson web site has a massive list of full Xbox 360 games, Xbox Live Arcade games add-ons, avatars and themes that have discounts from between 25 to 50 percent off from now until November 28

Among the Xbox 360 items for sale are the full games Battlefield: Bad Company, Civilization Revolution, and Battlefield 2 Modern Combat for 25 percent off their normal price. Xbox Live Arcade games that are on sale this week include Bejeweled 2 for 200 Microsoft points, Super Meat Boy for 400 Microsoft points and The Baconing for 600 Microsoft points. In addition, Xbox Live Silver users can upgrade to a 12 month Gold membership for 33 percent off the normal price this week. Microsoft will also have some extra sales planned for both Black Friday and next week's Cyber Monday.

Playstation Network users also have a lot of discounts to check out from now until November 20. They include downloadable games like Limbo for $10.49, Gatling Gears for $6.99 and Section 8: Prejudice for $10.49. You can also get the three map packs for that latter game for a deep discount.
