At E3 many UK gamers were left bemused by the lack of an announcement about the price of the PS3 in the UK. Some questioned whether the PS3 would even hit British shores, but according to Eurogamer TV Sony has revealed the pricing of the PS3. Sadly though, it's not pretty, costing £425 that will convert to over 200 dollars more than our American friends.
"I don't think it's an expensive machine; I think actually, it's probably a cheap machine," said SCE UK MD Ray Maguire, defending the machine as a "bargain". "If you think a Blu-Ray player by itself might be GBP 600-700, and we're coming in at just GBP 425 - it's a bargain," he went on to say.
More interesting though was the fact that no announcement was made on the lower spec PS3, does this mean that the machine has been executed before being born, and how will this affect the lower spec PS3 in other regions around the world. Chances are not everything has been figured out yet, but when it is, you cant help but feel that UK gamers will continue to get hit on the head with poor deals.
