Sony have announced the first wave of cut-price first-party titles for it's handheld PSP under the Greatest Hits label.

Wipeout Pure, Twisted Metal: Head On, Ape Escape: On the Loose, ATV Offroad Fury: Blazin' Trails, and Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee have all been released for the modest sum of $19.99.

Fans are told to stay put as Sony is planning to release third-party games under the Greatest Hits title later in the year, singling out: Lumines, Untold Legends: Brotherhood of the Blade, Tony Hawk's Underground 2 Remix, Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition, and Star Wars Battlefront II.

Gamers will be relieved there are finally some cheaper titles on offer for their console which has been widely available now since March 2005.
