Hello,

I have been using the Samsung Series 7 Slate, the predecessor to the native Windows 8 device, as a testbed for Windows 8. It seemed to work quite well, and I suspect the revised version with its higher resolution screen will be even nicer.

I do wonder if the keyboard dock will be compatible with the older model; the experience with Samsung's own Bluetooth keyboard was a little lacking.

Why oh why won't they release a higher end version with a 256GB SSD and 8GB (or better yet 16GB) RAM? I would SO BUY ONE INSTANTLY.

I am trying my hardest to not preorder a series 5 or series 7 slate instead of waiting for surface pro details. I really want the pen input.

going to get Series 5 slate. hope best buy sells it for like 650 with keyboard even though MSRP is 750

Seriously doubt that'll happen, at least not until we see some holiday sales or they show they aren't going to sale.
