If you want to learn about the latest technology, both from HP and their partners, then you'll want to go to the The Venetian and The Palazzo next month in sunny Las Vegas, Nevada. HP is holding their annual event, called HP Discover, June 4-7. We attended the conference last year and heard about some great innovations, including the EcoPOD, Vertica, the now-defunct TouchPad, and more. Last year, HP gave us a nice Microserver to give away to a lucky reader (congrats, Brent3000!). This year they're giving everyone at Neowin a $300 discount on the conference costs, reducing the cost from $1,795 down to $1,495. The registration fee includes up to five free certification exams, so if you're planning on taking some tests, doing it in Vegas is the way to go. We expect to learn a lot more about HP's Gen8 hardware and of course we'd be shocked if we weren't inundated with "cloud computing" talk like we were last year. With over 800 sessions available in topics like cloud, mobility, and converged infrastructure, there's bound to be something of interest for everyone.
